A Signal From The Outer Limits

Greetings, Wanderers through the Digital Cosmos!

I’m the Founder of Predictor Productions, and the person behind our two time-traveling avatars; L’Chevalier d’1760, also known at the Eighteenth Centurion, and his “grandescendant”, Mister 1960, the so-called "Mid-Century Millennial”. As for me, they seem content to call me “Mild-Mannered Alter Ego”, and that’s just fine.

What’s up with the word “Predictor,” anyway? We are ourselves only beginning to successfully translate the Atom-punk technologies of Yesterday’s Tomorrow to the internet-powered discourse of this dimension, but two optimistic inventions from Mid-Century America aligned to provide us with inspiration; The 1956 Packard Predictor concept car, and the Philco Predicta range of swivel-screen television sets made all-too briefly from 1958-1960.

In the weeks and months to come, we hope to entertain and inspire you with our avatars’ commentary on the vast varieties of culture available across this dimension- from popular music and film to literature and gaming. While we recognize the necessity of spreading our output across the morass of social media platforms, especially in these early stages, we hope that this website will grow to be a reliable and comforting central hub, where weary digital travelers can rest at ease and peruse our content at their leisure.

For myself, I’ll do my best to write a personal blog post here on e a week if possible. I imagine most of these will serve as “behind-the-scenes” updates of projects in progress, while others may stray into the realm of virtual handwringing as I try my best to navigate a brand in the terminally online 21st Century.
